Over the hump

On my way into the lot this morning, had a celebrity run in with one of Malibu’s famed Great White Egrets. Too quick to snap a pic for the tabs. The graceful bird stood on the sidewalk, looking up at a “Speed Bump Ahead” sign by the road. It struck me that she might be thinking, “What in the world could that mean?”

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

May we rise above the worries of the week, and let the bumps (and bruises) on the way pass as they come.
