This morning, a Pepperdine professor of Computer Science, alumna Advertising BA, Director of Special Programs, Theater professor, and Associate Director of Enterprise Information Systems invited a filled Elkins Auditorium to join them in the following initiative:
Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from our souls the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of Thy peace.
As we begin our new terms of study, work, and life together at Pepperdine, may we (to paraphrase the singing theologian Augustine) be what we sing, and become who we are.
